News Magazine for Democratic Convention

Several of us are working on a project to build a grassroots news magazine for the Democratic Convention.  We are aggregating together the blog streams of many of the bloggers at the convention.  Additionally it will contain video, photos, and a daily joint live blog about the convention.  We’re excited about the project.  The site is currently in beta status, but it’s improving a little day by day.  Come visit us at RootsWire.Org.  We’re also working on a bunch of other projects over there, but  the convention blog is the first.

Jailed Wisconsin Veteran Sent to Solitary Confinement, Seeks Help | Uppity Wisconsin

An innocent and reportedly depressed Navy Airman Keith Roberts (1968-71) suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and serving a four-year sentence for wire fraud since March 2007, has for reasons unclear been moved and caged in solitary confinement in a federal prison in Minnesota for almost a month, according to the veteran’s wife.
