I'm Jeff, the founder of NewsCloud.

I created NewsCloud to support a free and open press on the Web. NewsCloud allows readers from around the world to share and discuss important stories and current events.

NewsCloud offers an alternative aggregated view of global news from a variety of sources. Since NewsCloud is independently owned and operated, it provides part of the solution to the increasingly consolidated mainstream media. At NewsCloud, readers choose what's important, not one specific group of editors.

NewsCloud is also an open source project. You can download the software code for NewsCloud to launch your own media platform or get involved in our developer community.
