      Dodd endorses Obama

      Posted by VincebusEruptum from Jazz-from-hell.blogspot

DODD: "I am here to express my strong support for the candidacy of Barack Obama. This is a moment of unity in our country, a time where we need to come together as a Democratic party and to get behind a candidacy that expresses the aspirations, the hopes, the ambitions of millions and millions of Americans..."

    • I am data; politicians micro-target me to get elected

      Posted by VincebusEruptum from Scholarsandrogues

To our presidential candidates, I am not a human being: I am a set of data points, one of about 168 million sets of data points collected by both the Democratic and Republican national committees. Presidential candidates will base their direct-mail, push-poll, robo-call and volunteers-knocking-on-my-door messages on computerized analyses of me as data. I will be micro-targeted by candidates’ campaign organizations for the sole purpose of producing a vote...

Coulter, Novak and Newt are Fredheads

      Posted by VincebusEruptum from Jazz-from-hell.blogspot

News that Human Events endorsed Fred Thompson barely made a ripple. That's probably because Thompson has barely made a ripple himself. He might get a boost in SC, where his demonizing brand of swagger seems to resonate. Is that what Human Events is banking on?

Kucinich’s political ideologies remind me tons of New Democratic party leader Jack Layton’s many stances – especially in opposition to military-based foreign policy and on environmental issues. Both seem stuck fighting against a corporate complex that has (always held) both major parties held in its grip; the obvious difference being that the NDP isn’t one of our two “major parties”, which might explain why Layton has been a bit more successful in forcing policy changes among the Big Guys.

This doesn’t mean I’m advocating that DK go Independent. If anything, I’m suggesting he move to Canada and join the NDP. _
