- Maryland Will Offer Electoral College Votes to Popular Vote Winner

  The bill, one of 105 signed by the Democratic governor the day after the General Assembly adjourned, makes Maryland the first in the nation to agree to let the national popular vote trump statewide preference. It would not take effect until states that cumulatively hold 270 electoral votes -- the number needed to win a presidential election -- agree to do the same.

  Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign has received over 100,000 donations in the first quarter of 2007, the campaign's website reports. 83,531 individuals donated to Senator Obama's campaign for a total of 108, 095 donations.

  Hagel sounds like a complete idiot: "I am here today to announce that my family and I will make a decision on my political future later this year. In making this announcement, I believe there will still be political options open to me at a later date. But that will depend on the people of Nebraska and this country. I cannot control that and I do not worry about it."

  Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards said Wednesday he would not participate in the debate, citing Fox's conservative ties as a factor. His deputy campaign manager, Jonathan Prince, sent an e-mail to the liberal website DailyKos, which was posted on the site.

The European Union, it says at one point, wants to 'drag America down to Europe's standards,' adding: 'That's where Hillary and Dems would take us. Hillary = France.'
