Gore: Commutation of Libby sentence 'improper'

      Posted by Jeff from Rawstory

As for 2008, Mr. Gore said he doubted he would be a candidate again ever. Asked to talk about some of the current candidates in the Democratic field — including Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton — he demurred. That response, too, for any possible endorsement at this point (remember his backing of Howard Dean?).

Giuliani warns of 'new 9/11' if Dems win

      Posted by Jeff from Politico

Talk about true colors: “If any Republican is elected president —- and I think obviously I would be the best at this —- we will remain on offense and will anticipate what [the terrorists] will do and try to stop them before they do it,” Giuliani said. And if Democrats win, I will serve as ... Mayor of 9/11 The Sequel! And Kiefer Sutherland will be my Chief of Police.

Gore campaign team assembles in secret

      Posted by Jeff from Telegraph.c

Vice-President Gore's allies believe that Hillary Clinton, 59, the frontrunner, is unable to win the presidency. The most recent poll shows a growing number of voters think negatively of her, in contrast to Mr Gore, who enjoys far greater popularity than when he lost the 2000 presidential race despite polling more votes nationally than the eventual winner, George W Bush.

      Posted by Jeff from Politico

"Newt's not running a presidential campaign. He's not a candidate," said Tyler, who is not paid by American Solutions. "I can't speak for Romney, but I can tell you that Newt Gingrich is running an organization that's called American Solutions. It's bipartisan. We'll offer all the findings and our research to both Democrats and Republicans -- and reporters."

Gore has 'no intention to run for president'

    .sigh.

I can certainly understand Gore not wanting to put himself through the rigors of another campaign. But I had truly hoped that he would.

Although I was a bit lukewarm towards him in 2000, I think that over the past six years, he has become the kind of transformational leader that we so desperately need.
