  Via RawStory: U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold admitted Monday he’d have to seriously think about it if asked to be a presidential running mate. But Feingold’s flirtation with the White House has given way to renewed enthusiasm for life in the Senate, now that there’s a Democratic majority.

  I think Giuliani is going to be able to give McCain a strong run for the nomination. He's well positioned after 9/11. But he's no match for Hilary or Obama.

  I was disappointed by his decision but it's a good reminder that the office of President isn't one you need to fill with a left-oriented person as much as a moderate. Although I look forward to the day when Feingold's politics are centrist.

By then, his new book, "The Audacity of Hope," which hits bookstores Oct. 17, is almost certain to be a best seller. Both Colin Powell in 1995 and John McCain in 1999 used books to launch feverish speculation about presidential bids. In Powell’s case, he decided not to run, largely for family reasons.

  I think Obama will get in the race - to have his say, and at least pick up the VP nod. The dems need more future leaders. I have some concerns about him - but at least he's charismatic...then again so was Clinton.

  Kos leaves out Russ Feingold who I think may make a run at it. He's one of the few true liberals - against the Iraq war - who could benefit from the growing anti-war sentiment. He also left out Obama.
