    • The ABC News' Debate's Missed Opportunity for a Real Hit Job

      Posted by Villagenyc from politicalcortex

What many appeared to be most miffed about was the unusual barrage of seemingly un-important salvos leveled by moderators Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos at Senator Barack Obama.

The truth is, voters should be upset, because if the moderators were looking to perform some sort of hit job on Senator Obama, they could have at least attempted to aim above the belt and attack issues of substance and relevance.

'I Abhor Injustice,' Alleged Madam Says

Posted by Jeff from Washington Post

Palfrey's flamboyant attorney, Montgomery Blair Sibley, said Friday that he has been contacted by five lawyers recently, asking whether their clients' names are on Palfrey's list of 10,000 to 15,000 phone numbers. Some, Sibley said, have inquired about whether accommodations could be made to keep their identities private. ABC is expected to air a report on Palfrey and her clients on "20/20" on May 4, during sweeps.

    • Beck continues attacks on ABC colleague O'Donnell

Primetime Lies: How ABC News Cheers Police Brutality / Pierre Tristam [Candide's Notebooks]

they are a corporation and the corporations run this country and own the government. the government gives corporation more and more power. since police are the enforcement arm of government on all levels it is necessary to demonstrate to the population at large the level of violence that can be dealt out to those who run afoul of the police. this will silence many of the voices of protest of those who have had enough of the corporate takeover of the US and the world. and it works! look at any police violence video on a site like YouTube and read the comments. no matter how extreme the police violence or unnecessary in the comments are those who proudly post about their willingness to subjugate and submit to anything a law enforcement officer does. they so sincerely believe that a badge and a gun equate to divine righteousness. what pathetic fools. as Frank Zappa once said, "There’s a difference between kneeling down and bending over."

Novel idea coming up… Maybe Obama gets more media attention because he’s doing more newsworthy things? Corollary: Perhaps it’s not a case of the media overemphasizing, but rather reporting exactly what is reality?

Shall I go as far as to suggest that perhaps Right Wingers and Hillary supporters are just sore losers for not being able to inspire the same sentiments and circumstances; or would I just be branded an Obama-ite lemming?
