      Louisiana Democratic Gov. Kathleen Blanco signed into law a ban on most abortions, which would be triggered if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns its 1973 ruling legalizing the procedure, and is similar to a South Dakota law that has become the latest focus of the abortion battle.

This all could have been stopped way before this baby was conceived if they had just let me have that damn pill." And this is a woman with resources: money, a doctor, an Internet connection, a non-rural location, a supportive partner. Just think about who else the FDA's dithering has left in the lurch -- and sent to the abortion clinic.

      Poor women in America are increasingly likely to have unwanted pregnancies, whereas relatively affluent women are succeeding more and more in getting pregnant only when they want to. The abortion rate also rose among poor women while declining among the more affluent.
