    • Cindy Sheehan _ Mission Accomplished Day

Posted by Damianmann from Truth Out

"The Mission Accomplished Day (or Operation Codpiece) public relations dream for the presidential pelvic zone has turned into a frighteningly real nightmare for so many people around the world who have had sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and oftentimes entire families wiped out and devastated by the strutting and smirking terrorist who was feeling mighty "chipper" last night at the Washington Correspondent's annual dinner as the 2,400th soldier was being killed and as the 2,400th Gold Star Mother was falling on the floor screaming for her child," writes Cindy Sheehan.

    • Cindy Sheehan _ Raging Grannies and Raging Americans

Posted by Damianmann from Truth Out

Congress has already allowed this Execution Branch to take away so many of our rights and freedoms. If you are not outraged, you are not paying attention. Rest assured that there are people who are raging with indignation over the suppression of dissent and the wanton abduction of our rights. Rest assured that there are so many people working to take our country back.

'We Decided Not to Be Invisible Anymore'

Posted by Damianmann from Washington Post

I admire these people alot. It's a shame that the rest of America can't get off their collective asses to drive Bush and his cronies out. Why do THEY want to remain invisible? Is it because America approves of what's going on? I don't think so.

The William Holmes Blog » Bush has got to go

      Posted by Damianmann from damianmann.wordpress

We’re seeing tens of thousands of people filling the streets over the issue of immigration policy. Why not have that many people show up in Washington and demand Bush step down? It can be done. And the media would not be able to ignore a half a million or more people walking down Pennsylvania avenue demanding he and Cheney resign. I’d like to see it happen. Any ideas? Feel free to write to damianmann@yahoo.com

Police probe fires near Seattle suspect eco-arson

I am not comfortable with the FBI using the term domestic terrorism on this kind of arson. It seems like a stretch…it diminishes the term terrorism from the kind of efforts aimed at killing thousands, tens of thousands or millions of people and creating an ongoing sense of fear in their lives. This kind of arson is aimed primarily at property, does not often target people – albeit it does seemed aimed at political change…it still seems like arson or violent activism to me. Is anyone afraid ELF is going to burn their house down tonight?

Sheehan quits as face of US anti-war fight

Thank you Cindy Sheehan. You served as the face of a movement I participated in. You served as a voice of a movement I participated in. You fought the good fight and I was proud of what you did.

She dared to be the face of a movement that forced us to look ourselves in the mirror and face the consequences of ill-conceived policies that kill our men and women in uniform and innocent civilians in Iraq.

BUT she was more than a face or emblem of a movement, she was a mother who paid the ultimate price in this fiasco – the first in losing her son, and the second by the character assassination and “swift-boating” carried out by immature pukes.

It’s still sad to see even she’s been defeated by this war. I think a lot of people will lose hope from this.

I just thought of another idea. Everyone carries eviction notices and they're taped around the entire fence of the Whitehouse

Not much in the way of response so far. I'm trying some other avenues today
