      Rush vs. Fox

Posted by ptristam from Pierre Tristam

Why Rush Limbaugh's attack on Michael J. Fox is is a pathetic sideswipe that attempts, and fails, to obscure the real issue: stem-cell research is medicine's next frontier.

I certainly hope that Artists will join in a boycott against Michaels. As I see it, they have not only contributed to attack ads, but they owe many Artists/ buyers a lot of money due to inferior products purchased there. Mainly canvas that warp, as no one will purchase an original piece of artwork that has warped to the point of being not able to be framed due to the degree of warping that takes place using Michaels' Brand canvases. The canvas work will hang properly on any wall and will jut out from the wall by 4 inches or more. This is not appropriate and I am PO'd for Michael's backing of the Bush Adm. But I am extremely PO'd for being responsible for the damage to many fine art originals that cannot be offered for sale. I am stuck with many canvases which have great art, but are rendered useless by shoddy workmanship and inferior woof strtcher bars. I actually think they use bals wood?

I hear the founder is a bit of a youthful control freak. I guess that’s somewhat typical of startups.

Interesting that they didn’t back down on the F***k Islam group (with 75k signers) but they did on this one.
