Four companies to pull ads from Ann Coulter's website

      Posted by Jeff from Rawstory

I'm shocked that these companies advertised at Coulter's Web site in the first place: "Verizon, Netbank, and Sallie Mae have all removed ads from the website. The ads were pulled in part due to a grassroots effort by a DailyKos diarist, who is reporting that Washington Mutual has also pulled ads from the website."

      Google Discusses Click Fraud

Posted by Jeff from Washington Post

I think there is a lot of fraud in their content ad network (not search) that is beyond detection: "Today, Google came a little bit closer to revealing its click fraud numbers. Shuman Ghosemajumder, who leads Google's anti-click fraud effort, said Google is consistently identifying less than 10 percent of all clicks as click fraud and it does not charge advertisers for these clicks. In fact, advertisers never know about these clicks."

Man plans to propose in Super Bowl ad

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

How romantic: "Meanwhile, Morin is feverishly negotiating with companies that might want their brand of cell phone, television, clothing or even engagement ring featured in a video of the girlfriend’s response, which will be posted online. Morin said he also is negotiating with Web sites to host the video."

Advertising Age - BP Touts Greenness, Then Asks to Dump Ammonia

BP is bad. They are currently attempting to subvert and take over education at Berkley with the Energy Biosciences Institute. Their deal with the University is pretty messed up; they would have secure areas on campus where they control who enters, they would be allowed to advise students and create curriculum, etc. Altogether really bad for a public institution… More reasons here:

Plus most biofuel solutions have a bunch of inherent problems…
