      Run Al! Former Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Friday for their efforts to spread awareness of man-made climate change and lay the foundations for counteracting it.

    I love it! I know he’s said that he’s not running for president anymore, but something like this would certainly put rumor to rest … I’d love to see Gore holding hands with protesters around a bulldozer – someone better take some pictures!

    .sigh.

    I can certainly understand Gore not wanting to put himself through the rigors of another campaign. But I had truly hoped that he would.

    Although I was a bit lukewarm towards him in 2000, I think that over the past six years, he has become the kind of transformational leader that we so desperately need.
