      Iraq PM: Troops out 'as soon as possible'

      Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki says U.S. troops should leave Iraq "as soon as possible," according to a magazine report in which he also called presidential candidate Barack Obama's suggestion of 16 months "the right timeframe for a withdrawal."

      More Than 70 Iraqis Killed in Violence

      Gunmen shot and killed 23 members of an ancient religious sect in northern Iraq on Sunday after stopping their bus and separating out followers of other faiths, while at least 20 people were killed in car bombings in the capital. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki told Egypt's leader, meanwhile, to ignore widespread reports that the country is suffering "a civil or sectarian war."
