      World Bank president Paul Wolfowitz is digging in for a fight over the contentious promotion and pay rise for his girlfriend but World Bank staff have launched a website calling for his removal and Transparency International has warned that the scandal could undermine the fight against corruption.

      World Bank president Paul Wolfowitz, who spends a fair bit of his time lecturing Third World countries about the evils of corruption, is caught up in a scandal about his romantic partner getting a promotion and generous pay rises. All part of a deeper problem of nepotism where his GOP buddies have been given jobs at the bank.
