    • Political Cortex: Is Barack Obama a True Agent of Change?

      Posted by Villagenyc from politicalcortex

The Obama camp has yet to be fully vetted by the majority of the press that seems almost shy about interrupting what many have called a movement. While all four claimed to identify with Senator Barack Obama’s message of hope and change, the loyalty was obviously with Clinton. They worried aloud that Obama’s lack of experience and failure to articulate a clear and specific agenda were he to be elected. They agreed with President Bill Clinton, that Obama had received a free ride by the press, but, that Obama’s victory in Iowa was historic, moving and a hopeful sign that America was slowly overcoming its racist curse.

      The Obama Smear

Posted by ptristam from Pierre Tristam

To Obama’s detractors, whose ranks grow in proportion with his popularity, Barack's middle name, “Hussein,” is a gift, the bait that keeps snagging on just the right smears that, Obama’s race being off limits, can always attach to his Arab-sounding past. It’s guilt by ethnicity, a vague, unspoken coloring that just hangs there, like an unmovable obsidian cloud over an otherwise sunny stretch of Norman Rockwell canvass.

Is Bill Richardson the Ideal Running Mate for Obama? | Politicususa

Maybe. Or someone with military experience such as Wesley Clarke. Though Richardson’s international and diplomatic experience is compelling as well as his appeal to Latinos.
