In turn there is going to be less meat, which means prices are going to go up," said Mr Collins, who is responsible for the USDA's agricultural forecasts and is adviser to Mike Johanns, the US secretary of agriculture.

If you turn every cob of corn on the planet into fuel, you will have less than 1 quarter of the fuel needs of the US. And we aren’t the only ones driving cars. Brazil is using biofuels, and suddenly no one is complaining about the rain forest being destroyed.
