      A national movement to help blacks rise to power in the Republican Party arrived on Ohio's doorstep Monday when two dozen conservative Christian ministers endorsed GOP candidate Ken Blackwell for governor. Equating their movement to the civil rights struggle of the 1960s, the group of ministers both black and white flanked Blackwell and punctuated each other's testimonials for his candidacy with subdued bursts of "Amen."

    This election has been lost before it’s even started. Democracy is doomed .

    Americans don’t seem to care. And that’s a shame.

    It’s no wonder Bush and Rove are so confident. The divide and conquer strategy may not work any longer, but this might.
