      Will Canada Last?

Posted by Shemuses from The Tyee

What will it take persuade Canadians that if they do not act soon to reverse the course of their nation, there will be nothing left to save? I am talking, of course, about so-called "deep integration" and its official expression, the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP).

"Oh my God, this is close to home. It just makes you think something is going on in this area," said Malone. "Obviously people are losing their feet, they've got to be dying somewhere." Yes, you could say that... you could have said that at three feet.

Proposed immigration changes 'racist,' B.C. protesters say

      Posted by Shemuses from CBC

About 70 people gathered in Surrey, B.C., on Sunday to protest a controversial government bill that would give more power to the federal immigration minister to approve or deny immigration applications. Bill C-50, which will amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, is a "racist policy" and, if passed, will endow Citizenship and Immigration Minister Diane Finley too much arbitrary power, said Tammy Sadeghi, a spokesperson for the protesters.

Clement seeks appeal of Insite decision

Posted by Shemuses from Globe and Mail

Health Minister Tony Clement says he will ask the federal justice minister to appeal a decision by the B.C. Supreme Court that saved North America's only sanctioned safe-injection site from closure at the end of June. On Tuesday, Mr. Justice Ian Pitfield granted users and staff at the popular but controversial facility known as Insite a permanent constitutional exemption from prosecution under federal drug laws.

    The Culture of Meat

A humanity that would domesticate is not healthy.  Exploitation and slavery come to mind, as well as torture.  Given all the information available about the harms of animal products on the human body I am flabbergasted that people accept this ‘meat washing’.

    incorrect overdose of simple proteins

no animal that eats meat naturally has to cook it

    intestine inflammation

    reduced energy and fatigue

Maybe because I have never eaten it and observed the effects on others that I take this no intentional harm abuse or consumption of life stance.  good book: Eternal Treblinka

Outrage brews as Ottawa set to honour Morgentaler

there are several differences between a medical doctor who has not broken the law and a convicted pedophile serial killer. suggesting said convicted felon be freed?

many canadians, the majority in fact are proud that our country enables women access to essential healthcare. these services save lives, often lives of the most vulnerable women in our society. there is a viable and empathetic middle way that combines health care, education, abstinence, birth control, and abortion. we need to look beyond our idealogy and meet the real needs of families in our communities.

    Jeff, Jeff, Jeff,

First of all have you ever been to Madrid or London. Al Qaida will kill any Jew, Christian or Hindu they run across and then reload.  A border is not a good defense system for terrorism.  Second, the war and the value of the dollar have weakened us. It is just peculiar that it wasn’t Jimmy Carter who did it to us this time. Third of all the US owns the Stanley Cup (ever been to Detroit ?).  Forth where is Robert Rubin when we need him most !
