      Neil Patrick Harris Claims He Is NOT a Britney Basher

      Amid all of the positive hype that surrounded Britney Spears guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother, Neil Patrick Harris rose to the forefront with his minority view. He has since attempted to clarify what he really meant. CBS may have had somthing to do with his sudden attempts at damage control.

      Katie Couric: CNNs Next Larry King?

      Katie Couric has been at the CBS news anchor post for 19 months and the realization has finally set in with network executives that she is not the shot in the arm they need. The $15 million dollar a year gig was to last until 2011 but The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Couric will step down in January 2009. What will she do next? She may well take over at CNN for the retiring Larry King.

      As Gore Looks to Future, Networks Stuck in Everyday Politics

      While his solutions were politically difficult (to say the least), Gore talked about what could be done on global warming -- a message that was almost completely lost on the big three's evening news programs last night. While Gore looked to the future, CBS, NBC and ABC -- and consequently their 25 million or so viewers -- were stuck in the petty politics and flashy sound bites of the present.

      For CBS’s Fall Lineup, Check Inside Your Refrigerator

      The network plans to announce today that it will place laser imprints of its trademark eye insignia, as well as logos for some of its shows, on eggs — 35 million of them in September and October. CBS’s copywriters are referring to the medium as “egg-vertising,” hinting at the wordplay they have in store.
