    • When vice presidents shoot people

      Posted by Billbar from Salon

From time to time, the vice president will shoot a man. This is not unusual nor is it cause for alarm. Vice presidents throughout history have shot men. Vice President Gerald Ford shot six men in one day. Vice President Dan Quayle once actually shote a man.

    • Cheney's Bad Aim

      Posted by Billbar from Slate

Vice President Cheney shot a man in the head on Saturday, and 21 hours later you had to be looking at the Web page of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times to find out about it. If the vice president's office was "working," it was working awfully slowly.

    • More Allegations of Libby Lies Revealed

Posted by Billbar from Washington Post

The special prosecutor in the CIA leak case alleged that Vice President Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, was engaged in a broader web of deception than was previously known and repeatedly lied to conceal that he had been a key source for reporters about undercover operative Valerie Plame.

    • t r u t h o u t - Jason Leopold _ Bush Ignored 9/11 Warnings

Posted by Damianmann from Truth Out

President Bush and Vice President Cheney have publicly stated that the top-secret domestic spying program Bush authorized in 2002 could have thwarted the 9/11 attacks had the controversial, and possibly illegal, measure been in effect prior to the terrorist strike on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Bush's and Cheney's comments have gone virtually unchallenged by reporters covering the spying story and by a majority of Democratic lawmakers critical of the issue. However, the reality is much different from what Bush and Cheney would have you believe. The fact of the matter is that the Bush administration ignored hard evidence from its top intelligence officials between April and September of 2001 about an impending attack by al-Qaeda on US soil. There's no chance that the National Security Agency's domestic wiretapping initiative would have saved the lives of 3,000 American citizens if an intelligence memo titled "Bin Laden determined to attack inside US" that President Bush received a month before 9/11 couldn't move Bush to take such threats seriously.

Bush claims executive privilege on CIA leak

The approval of Mukasey’s appointment was another act of doubling down by the Democrats in Congress. There were warning signs about Mukasey – but the Dems approved the appointment because they were saving the real battle for November.

Iran Top Threat To Iraq, U.S. Says

I can almost at this point garuantee that the sabre rattling will spill over into a declaration of war some time around Fall, at which point the administration will insist that the only group capable of dealing with the (manufactured) threat are, naturally, the GOP.

Anyone not voting for McCain will be branded a terrorist sympathizer, and the U.S. will wind up with either McCain at the helm or a seriously handicapped democrat, because, face it, when the xenophobic part of the average North American’s conscience is stimulated, it tends to come out in full force and steamroll any chance of cooler heads (diplomacy) prevailing.

I do hope I’m just being wildly cynical, though.

Dick Cheney Inc. Micromanaged and Orchestrated Torture Interrogations | BuzzFlash.org

tiger-I agree totally, but if our elected reps in D.C. won’t move to impeach over a treasonous act such as outing a CIA operative, this latest revelation will wind up being swept aside by the corporate media for more up-to-the-minute report on "American Idol". Sad, isn’t it?-watching what once was considered the greatest country on the face of the planet; sink to the depth of a local banana republic. Hey cheer up, can’t wait til next weeks revelation of corruption within this Bush Cabal reaches the light of day!!!!!!
