Rockets hit Occupied Palestine from Lebanon

      Posted by theangryindian from Angryindian.blogspot

At least two Katyusha rockets have hit the occupied Palestine amid reports that the rockets have been fired from a village in Lebanon. The Israeli TV reported on Sunday that one rocket hit a factory and another hit a car. The station's Arab affairs analyst, Ehud Yaari, claimed a splinter Palestinian group in Lebanon was probably behind the attack.

      U.S. Booklet Teaches Anti-Arab Racism

      Posted by theangryindian from Angryindian.blogspot

Is the United States Army officially teaching anti-Arab racism? It would seem so and the evidence is in black and white. After everything else, here is a document issued to American military personnel on how to "relate" to Arabs in Iraq. While one could reasonably assume that there would be some inaccuracies as translations of cultural literacy between societies can be confusing, does it always need to be so ignorant on the part of European Westerners?

    • 50,000 Years of Resilience May Not Save Tribe

Posted by theangryindian from Washington Post

YAEDA VALLEY, Tanzania -- One of the last remaining tribes of hunter-gatherers on the planet is on the verge of vanishing into the modern world. The transition has been long underway, but members of the dwindling Hadzabe tribe, who now number fewer than 1,500, say it is being unduly hastened by a United Arab Emirates royal family, which plans to use the tribal hunting land as a personal safari playground. The deal between the Tanzanian government and Tanzania UAE Safaris Ltd. leases nearly

    • Iowa Independent:: America's Great Shame: If It Were Clive, People Would Care

      Posted by theangryindian from iowaindependent.com

[Commentary] American “Indians,” said the brilliant Native American writer and leader Vine Deloria Jr., are probably invisible because of the tremendous amount of misinformation about them. That assessment from the late Deloria, an Iowa State University graduate, is no doubt one of the reasons you likely know more about Paris Hilton than what should be one of the biggest news stories in America. Last Saturday, The New York Times ran a Page 1 story on Paris Hilton. Is she drunk? Is she

I also listen to Malloy and he does not report on nearly as much alternative news as we do here or I do on my own Indigenist newsblog. Raw Story and Common Dreams seems to be his main alt-news sources. I’m not sure how much he knows about portals like ours. Drop him a line, maybe he’ll give us a look-see.

Pretty amazing story. I heard about this on Mike Malloy last night.

He always complains about the lack of a free press – but hey, we’re here sharing stories like this!
