The Colts probably will contain Steelers RB Willie Parker, who had only 43 yards in the first game. The Colts have the quickness on defense to contain Parker. If the Colts jump to a lead, it will take the Steelers out of their running game and force Roethlisberger to throw.

"When you realize that the Colts played the toughest schedule against playoff teams (six games) while most of the other teams played four or five playoff teams throughout the season, and Indianapolis had the best record -- including the throwaway game at the end of the season against Seattle -- they really stand out heading into the postseason."

Texans run wild, earn first victory over Colts - NFL

Paul – I’m an idealist, I think the Colts might do it. Unlikely, but this team has talent. Wouldn’t it be a great story if Manning makes it happen on his shoulders? If not the Colts, San Diego looks good though I haven’t seen the Ravens play. One of these three teams.

Paul – anytime you have the defense give up so much yardage and lose 4 out of 6 games, it’s going to create polarization and strife. Plus this has probably been boiling all season – as the early victories were very close. And finally, Manning has the pressure of the media on him to win the “big” games. Other than a couple of bad games they lost, he’s put up super stats…even today. Keep in mind, they’ve lost two games to last minute field goals (today’s).

Opinion: Don’t write off Colts just yet

Most likely – the road to the Super Bowl involved either San Diego or Baltimore.

Tomlinson vs. the Colts defense may not be pretty.

Will they have to face the Chargers at any point?

I think the short game helped the Colts slow down their offensive drives which had the effect of keeping the Bengals offense off the field and limiting the damage they could do to Indy’s struggling defense. Still, the defense stepped it up a bit as well.
