Dissident Voice : How Capitalism Turns Intimate Relationships into a Battleground

      Posted by theangryindian from dissidentvoice.org

Relationship conflicts are a universal source of pain and confusion. I frequently counsel couples in distress where the woman is angry and the man is depressed. The woman cannot understand why the man won’t fix the problems in the relationship. The man feels inadequate. Nothing he does is good enough. The woman cannot understand how any man could feel inadequate, because men are supposed to be superior beings. In her mind, he has simply stopped caring about her.

Soil Sample Backs Up Pole Claim

      Posted by theangryindian from Themoscowtimes

Less than a month after sending a high-profile expedition to the North Pole, a state-run research institute claimed Thursday to have proof that a large chunk of the Arctic belongs to Russia, although the statement was met by skepticism from foreign scientists. "We obtained enough material to demonstrate that the Lomonosov Ridge ... is an extension of the continental margin," said Viktor Posyolov, deputy head of the Institute of World Ocean Geology, Interfax reported.

No unemployment by 2010, growth at 8%: Rangarajan - India Says - Voice of India

      Posted by theangryindian

India can mop out unemployment by 2010 with a constant economic growth of 8% and the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Coiuncil claims that the target could be achieved even before if the growth of GDP is at a higher level. It is seen that with a GDP growth rate of 8%, by 2010 the workforce (number of employed people) will become equal to the labour force (number of employable people),” the EAC, which submitted its economic outlook report for 2007-08 to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, sai

Judge: Saudi threats apparently 'rolled over' British government

I also listen to Malloy and he does not report on nearly as much alternative news as we do here or I do on my own Indigenist newsblog. Raw Story and Common Dreams seems to be his main alt-news sources. I’m not sure how much he knows about portals like ours. Drop him a line, maybe he’ll give us a look-see.

Pretty amazing story. I heard about this on Mike Malloy last night.

He always complains about the lack of a free press – but hey, we’re here sharing stories like this!

Black Oil Spill in Kerch Strait

I think this spill should have received far more attention here in the US than it did. What happened in San Francisco around the same time pales in comparison to this mess.

This is a shame, Russia should be a more dedicated hosting to its environment. Good post, keep up the good work.
