      At least 300 Egyptian judges have joined a protest against the government over interference in the judiciary. Earlier this month, two Egyptian judges were prosecuted after they accused pro-government colleagues of manipulating election results in 2005. Correspondents say the judges' case has become a rallying-point for those seeking democratic reform in Egypt.

      New Bombing Attacks Rock Egypt

      Only two days after three attacks jolted the Red Sea resort of Dahab, two men blew themselves up in Egypt's north Sinai on Wednesday, April 26, one near an airport used by the Multinational Force and Observers. Normand St. Pierre, a MFO spokesman, said the bomber appeared to target MFO vehicles but there were no injuries in the force.

      10 Arrested After Egypt Resort Bombings

      Security police said they had detained for questioning 10 people — three of whom had arrived in Dahab on Sunday and tried to leave the resort 15 minutes after the blasts. Interior Minister Habib el-Adly put the death toll at 23, including 20 Egyptians and three foreigners.

      Three explosions rocked Egypt's Sinai resort town of Dahab on Monday night, leaving at least 30 people dead and 160 wounded. This is high tourist season - part of a five-day Egyptian holiday - and hotels all along the Egyptian coasts could be expected to be at near capacity.
