    • Reality TV ethics: guess what? I'm not really dying.

      Posted by SoxFirst

Producers of a Dutch reality TV show are claiming the moral high ground by saying a program where a terminally ill woman would select one of three patients to receive her kidneys was actually a hoax. All designed to attract public attention to organ donors, they say. But the ethics still suck bug time.

    • Reality TV's new ethical low

      Posted by SoxFirst

In their desperation to shock the world, reality TV producers have always breached codes of ethics. But now they’ve hit a new low by screening a program where a terminally ill woman will select one of three patients to receive her kidneys. Reality TV turns into a snuff movie.

    Ethics checklist for boards

In most companies today, it truly seems as if ethics are as disposible as paper cups. If we don’t encourage companies to have codes of ethics and actually stick by them (and not vote to suspend them to partake in unethical activities, like Enron did), the corporate world is going to get out of control. As children, we are always told that we need to take responsibility for our actions; however, some Boards of Directors seem to believe in the “Do as I say, not as I do” mentality. Why should we, as consumers, have to worry about the companies that produce the products and services that we use on a constant basis? Hopefully, some industry leaders in the corporate world will read this article and realize how truly important ethics and ethical policies are.

    Vitter was a repeat customer

Vitter was a repeat customer and will continue his illegal and immoral activity as long as he can go to his priest and be forgiven. He and his wife seem to feel that they deserve forgiveness from the American people but in the eyes of many, the hypocrisy is worse than the sin itself. We are a broadminded and forgiving nation, but when looking back on the self righteous attitudes of he and he wife during the Clinton/Lewinsky scandel, most of us feel no pity for these two.
