      EU fines Microsoft for non-compliance

      The European Commission fined Microsoft $357.3 million on Wednesday to punish its failure to comply with a landmark 2004 antitrust ruling. The tough new penalty is the first of its kind and comes on top of a record $632 million fine the Commission imposed on Microsoft in March 2004 for abusing its dominant position.

      EU unveils air safety blacklist

      Most of the 90 banned airlines, which the EU says fail to meet international standards, are based in Africa. The move was proposed last year after a summer in which more than 500 people died in plane crashes worldwide.

    YES!! it may be petty but its cumulative and will keep incurring until MS unbundles all that crap like media player messanger outlook paint etc etc. MS being a monopoly who spys on & puts virus' on it's own users PC's will likley never change maybe they will do like isreal did to lebanon this morning. and invade some linux distros hq.
