Corporate Globalization and Middle East Terrorism

      Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from Informationclearinghouse.

By now the whole world knows that America is none of the things that she purports to be; that is, everyone except the Americans. In their unfathomable hubris, both the Israeli and the American governments have seriously underestimated the spiritual strength and determination of the freedom fighters resisting corporate globalization. They will never stop fighting until the occupiers have been driven out, as occupying armies always are. The invaders can kill the majority of the population with their sophisticated weaponry, but those who remain will expel them, as the Vietnamese expelled the U.S. from Viet Nam. History has taught us these lessons again and again, but we Americans do not know history; nor do we want to know it.

Iraq vs. World War 2, Iraq wins. Another miserable milestone for Bush's war

Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from The Independent

In a bit of historical irony, the U.S. involvement in World War 2 was a total of 1,244 days on the eastern front. This resulted in Nazi Germany surrendering to Russia, Britain and the U.S. Fast forward to Iraq, August 2006, the U. S. involvement, illegal this time, has passed the 1,267 day mark. Resistance in Iraq is stronger then ever, the U.S. economy is destined for collapse from the over extension of debt, and as America burns, Bush, like Hitler stays the course. Maybe he will kill hiself too?

Reclaiming The Issues: Islamic Or Republican Fascism?

      Posted by Jeff from Kurtnimmo

Thus it's now critical that we reclaim the word "fascist" to describe current-day Republican policies, support progressive websites that spread the good word, and join together this November at the ballot box to stop fascist election fraud and this most recent incarnation of Republican-fascism from seizing complete and irretrievable control of our nation.

      Blood and Gravy

      Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from Informationclearinghouse.

once more unto the breach with Halliburton, the gargantuan government contractor that still pays Cheney, its former CEO, enormous annual sums in "deferred compensation" and stock options -- even while he presides over a White House war council that has steered more than $10 billion in no-bid Iraqi war contracts back to his corporate paymaster

      Israeli Soldiers Embittered

      Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from Courant

In one instance, he said, Israeli troops occupying two houses inadvertently fired at each other because of poor communication between their commanders. "We almost killed each other," he said. "We shot like blind people. ... We shot sheep and goats." A total of 118 Israeli soldiers were killed in the fighting as opposed to 68 Hezbollah fighters. the army was often caught off-guard by a well-trained guerrilla force backed by Iran and Syria that used sophisticated weapons and tactics. Soldiers, for instance, complained that Hezbollah fighters sometimes disguised themselves in Israeli uniforms. In many cases, soldiers bled to death because they were not rescued in time The Israeli military said that it was aware of the complaints, had tried to address them in the course of the fighting and had no comment on complaints.

Good column. Hartmann spells it out nicely. Bush isn't our first fascist president, however. Calvin Coolidge famously stated, "The business of America is business."
