      Party seats Fla., Mich. delegations

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

Democratic Party leaders agreed Saturday seat Michigan and Florida delegates with half votes into this summer's convention with a compromise that left Barack Obama on the verge of the nomination but riled Hillary Rodham Clinton backers who threatened to fight to the August convention.

    • Sources: DNC Florida Compromise Reached, Michigan Deal On The Table

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

The Michigan compromise, details of which must still be worked out, would give the majority of delegates to Clinton, who won 55 percent of the vote in the state's primary. Those with knowledge of the RBC's inner dealings say the potential deal involves all of the candidates who took their names off the state's ballot voluntarily agreeing that the now-uncommitted delegates would go to Obama. The Illinois Democrat, accordingly, would receive 40 percent of delegates. Clinton nets roughly nine delegates on Obama under this scenario.

M.S. Bellows, Jr.: Clinton's Open Letter To Obama On MI and FL

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

Hillary Clinton has lost a ton of my respect over the past few months and continues to lose the remainder of it. An open letter like this isn't a way to solve a problem, it's just confrontational. She's made the Florida and Michigan issue worse with her intellectual dishonesty over the past 2 months. The Clinton's behavior is just sad and more sad.

Despite rules over when those votes were cast, any attempt to disenfranchise a voter, much less an entire state, regardless of what party officials point to as guidelines, is fundamentally wrong. Such a move threatens the very spirit of our democracy unless there is a tangible and workable solution that gives every voter a voice in the selection process.

Widespread power outages in S. Fla.

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

A relatively minor glitch in Florida’s electrical grid somehow triggered a chain reaction Tuesday that caused a nuclear plant to shut down and briefly cut power in patches from Daytona Beach through the Florida Keys.

It doesn’t matter if he lets her have these. She still can’t win. It’s all a farce

Rare stamp may be sealed in Florida ballot box

This is clear evidence that some voters are totally stupid.
