      One World, One Dream: I Was Detained For Tibet

      Sam Price was among six activists who were detained by Chinese authorities on August 7 for his role in an action designed to raise awareness about the continuing plight of Tibet. He and fellow members of Students For A Free Tibet unfurled a flag on the Great Wall of China, which read: "One World, One Dream: Free Tibet," and they were swiftly detained for less than two days before being swiftly deported. Here is his story.

      I Participated In A Free Birth

      I was a participant at a free birth back in the 1980's. We didn't call it that at the time, at the time we called it a home birth. The difference between home births like the one my family planned and free births of today, is that a typical home birth includes a mid wife or some other qualified personnel in the proceedings. A free birth, does not.

      The phrase doesn’t make any sense, and it wasn’t supposed to. 18 year old high school senior Joseph Frederick unfurled the 14 foot banner on a public sidewalk across the street from the high school during a non-school event. High school administrator Deborah Morse confiscated the banner and suspended Frederick for “advocating drug use” evidently in view of other high school students.
