      It Takes A Village

      When I was at these parties, I was amazed first at how far I have come. I used to be quite intimidated by these sorts of functions; I was always so aware of the glaring differences between me and the other people in the room. I would look around the room and see nurses, occupational therapists, film industry folks, married moms, pastors…and me…an ex- hooker, drug addict, alcoholic, criminal, lacking certain social skills.

      I haven’t had sex in four months. Four months ago I begged my ex to have sex with me and it lasted four minutes. I want to have sex with somebody, somebody that’s not my ex and it has to be tonight. It HAS to. Becky and I are going out tonight, out to a club in Hollywood. And I’m going to have sex with someone.
