  Well after the Bush EPA lied about Ground Zero pollution - I'm not surprised people are skeptical. I wouldn't trust the NY authorities without some better sort of explanation.

  Gas station owners or managers say somebody is breaking into gas pumps, reprogramming interior keypads and instructing the machines to dispense fuel at no charge.

If you turn every cob of corn on the planet into fuel, you will have less than 1 quarter of the fuel needs of the US. And we aren’t the only ones driving cars. Brazil is using biofuels, and suddenly no one is complaining about the rain forest being destroyed.
