Bosniakophobia Incites Srebrenica Genocide Denial

Bosniakophobia is the prejudice against or hostility toward Bosniaks as a group. The prejudice or hostility is usually characterized by a combination of religious, racial, cultural and ethnic biases. Bosniakophobia may be manifested in many ways, ranging from individual expressions of hatred and discrimination against individual Bosniaks to organized violent attacks by mobs or even state police or military attacks on entire Bosniak communities in the Balkans. One of the most notable manifestation of Bosniakophobia is the denial of 1995 Srebrenica Genocide in which Serb forces slaughtered over at least 8,372 Bosniaks in U.N. designated "safe" enclave of Srebrenica. Srebrenica genocide victims included men, children, and elderly.
Srebrenica Genocide Architect Radovan Karadzic Loses Motion to Overturn Trial

Former Bosnian Serb leader, Radovan Karadzic, is facing trial for ordering Srebrenica genocide in which 10,000 people were killed, including at least 500 children. Karadzic's motion seeking and order requiring the Prosecution to allow inspection and disclosure of certain information it may have in its possession which are, according to the accused, material for his defense, has been partly dismissed and partly denied. The Trial Chamber found that part of the motion to inspect the archives was premature and sent to the wrong address while in the part seeking the disclosure of information, the accused "has not met the required criteria outlined for the issuance of the Chamber's order"

Srebrenica genocide architect, former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, claims he made a deal with former US Ambassador Richard Holbrooke to avoid prosecution for Srebrenica genocide. Karadzic said in the motion that the deal promised he would not face prosecution if he "agreed to withdraw completely from public life." Srebrenica genocide claimed lives of 10,000 Bosniaks, including elderly and children.

About 5,200 victims of Srebrenica genocide - Europe's worst genocide since World War 2 - have been identified through DNA analysis so far. Approximately, 4000 victims were unearthed from 10 Kamenica mass graves. Forensic experts had unearthed the remains of 362 victims of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide from the tenth mass grave in Kamenica village. The 1995 Srebrenica genocide claimed lives of 8,000 - 10,000 Bosniaks - men, children, and elderly.

Marco Van Hees (34), a former Dutch peacekeeper of Serbian ethnic origin who was stationed in Srebrenica in 1995, is the main inspiration behind the recent Srebrenica genocide denial activism. His Dutch friend of Serbian orgin, Aleksandar Gavrilovic (22), recently formed a Serbian Investigation Society in Tilburg, Netherland. The Serbian Investigation Society is NGO working on translating Milivoje Ivanisevic's Srebrenica genocide denial material and publicly distributing it in the Netherlands.
New Srebrenica Genocide Mass Grave Yields 360 Victims

Forensic experts say they have exhumed more than 360 victims of the 1995 Srebrenica massacre from a 10th mass grave found near an eastern Bosnian village. Forensic team head Murat Hurtic said Thursday the grave contained 145 complete and 217 incomplete bodies.

A former Bosnian refugee has donated $4 million for the UCLA School of Law to create a clinic on international justice that will aim to help courts trying Balkan war criminals. The endowment was made by Sanela Diana Jenkins (aka: Sanela Catic), an ethnic Bosniak woman who fled the war-torn capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1993 and married a billionaire Roger Jenkins, chief executive of Barclays Bank. In the early 90s Sarajevo had endured the longest military siege in modern history with 10,000 - 15,000 residents killed, including at least 1,500 children.
