What Does Al Know That We Don't? on The Huffington Post

Posted by Damianmann from Huffington Post

Why, given the opportunity that's been presented to him on a silver Prius, is this man not going to run for (and win) the presidency of the United States? If ever there was a clarion call to be answered it is this one: heed the will of the majority of the people, take back the yoke Bush and his cracked team of highjackers have used to steer the country into the ground and pull the ship skyward again.

Gore: Commutation of Libby sentence 'improper'

      Posted by Jeff from Rawstory

As for 2008, Mr. Gore said he doubted he would be a candidate again ever. Asked to talk about some of the current candidates in the Democratic field — including Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton — he demurred. That response, too, for any possible endorsement at this point (remember his backing of Howard Dean?).

Gore brings blunt talk, book to Seattle

Posted by Jeff from Seattle Post-Intelligencer

Gore's Waistline: Clues to Presidential Bid?

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

"He has lost a few pounds, and Hillary can read into that what she wants," says a longtime adviser who declined to be identified discussing his boss's figure. Gore has always been a voracious eater, and at 58, the pounds don't come off so easily. He is trying to be healthier, working out daily when he can. After all, he wants to be around to say I told you so to all of us.

Group: Gore a hypocrite over power bill

Indeed. Classic “attack the messenger by attempting to hoist them on their own straw-man petard.” Shame on the AP for mindlessly reprinting unsourced propaganda.

Group: Gore a hypocrite over power bill

First – you can see a picture of the antibellum style home (can’t tell if it’s modern or genuine) in this AP story.

Second – the source of the criticism is a conservative think-tank, The Tennessee Center for Policy Research. AP just reported the story – it did not do the research.

Third – how in the world can someone (person, organization) obtain power bills on someone else’s property? The power company says it hasn’t disclosed the bills: “But company spokeswoman Laurie Parker said the utility never got a request from the policy center and never gave it any information.”

Finally – it’s a classic ad hominem (attack the messenger), just taken to a new level.
