    • HuffPost Goes Local: Introducing HuffPost Chicago

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

Kind of strange to me. I don't think HuffPo national has come across entirely clear in mission ... and now HuffPo Chicago? And what about Chi-town News, a small citizen journalism upstart that's got a lot of momentum. Very odd seeing stories about Chicago on the front page of HuffPo national. Beginning of the decline?

    • Arianna Huffington makes waves on the Web

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

Her site - HuffingtonPost.com - has blossomed from a handful of staff to 50 and an audience of nearly 15 million visitors a month. Her Internet newspaper is attracting eyeballs and advertising that might otherwise gravitate to traditional media outlets. The site is also helping to set the media's agenda.

New Books By Alan Greenspan and Naomi Klein: One is Prophetic, One is Pathetic

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

Klein shows how the crony capitalists running the Bush administration saw post-invasion Iraq as the perfect proving ground for all their pet free-market policies. The fantasy was that a privitazied and corporatized Iraq would become a free-market utopia that would spread the gospel of the market throughout the Middle East. Democracy would reign, and Halliburton and Bechtel would stand supreme.

It’s a great site to visit if you don’t mind the occasional terrorist propaganda piece.

The huff is the site that actually ridiculed the Bush administration for catching the Ft Dix six before they carried out their plans. I’m not exagerating or taking anything out of context. They posted a piece that actually chastised the admin for preventing an attack.

I am biased...but I find her site to be fairly sensationalized (headlines exaggerated often) and the bloggers too self-aggrandized.
