      Don Imus returns to airwaves

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

Imus’ lineup of guests featured two presidential hopefuls, Democrat Chris Dodd and Republican John McCain. As he did several times in the days after the episode, Imus condemned his controversial remark last spring and said he had learned his lesson.

Don Imus: Shock Jock Fired For Shocking

      Posted by Orato

This week, America has been assaulted by endless news coverage about the racist comments spoken by Don Imus about the Rutgers University Women's Basketball Team. Al Sharpton, Spike Lee and Whoopi Goldberg are just a few of the big names that networks have brought on air to discuss this in depth. Unfortunately, with this debate, there is only one side to take. Arguing context or Don Imus' work in the community or striving to see a larger picture is futile. The people are pissed.

N.J. Governor Corzine Critical After SUV Crash

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

Corzine was headed to a meeting regarding Don Imus and Rutgers: Corzine, 60, did not suffer any brain damage in the crash. But he won't be able to resume his duties as governor for several days, if not weeks, and he won't walk normally for months, Dr. Robert Ostrum said performing surgery on the governor Thursday night at Cooper University Hospital.

      Furor rages despite Imus’ apology

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

I'm with Sharpton. Imus should go: “I accept his apology, just as I want his bosses to accept his resignation,” said the Rev. Al Sharpton. He promised to picket Imus’ New York radio home, WFAN-AM, unless the veteran of nearly 40 years of anything-goes broadcasting is gone within a week. MSNBC should drop his show. Other media outlets can't have it both ways. They can't employ a racist for a radio show and then express regret at his remarks...repeatedly.

    • Blogs: PEEK: More Jill Carroll bashing

      Posted by Damianmann from Alternet

Apparently Jill Carroll's attitude is just too damned Christian for conservative America. Angry and suspicious at her lack of vitriol for her captors who killed her translator but released her, the National Review-ers are doing a pile-on while the producer of the Imus show is doing his best to sound like an overgrown fratboy.
