      EXCERPT:
The practice of tipping was actually a European import. In the United States, tipping took off in the 1920s after overcoming great opposition from those who saw it as patronizing and un-American.

And, up until the 1970s, waiters and waitresses could expect to earn an average 10 percent gratuity on restaurant checks. At some point, during the period from 1970 to 1980, servers across the country got a raise to the current 15 percent.
But even among individual American patrons, tipping habits can vary wildly.

      The Age Blogs: Management Line

      Posted by SoxFirst

So many people call in sick at the last minute when there's nothing really wrong with them. And the anecdotal evidence suggests people will go to extreme lengths to explain why they're away. So what are the best excuses? And what does a company do when confronted with chronic absenteeism?

      Impeaching The President In Vermont

      Posted by Orato

Last month, on the 7th of March, Vermonters in 37 towns across the state backed resolutions to impeach President George W. Bush. The resolution was brought up on the annual town meeting day, and Vermont firmly staked its position at the head of a nationwide grassroots movement to impeach Bush over his handling of the war in Iraq.

It's sometimes said a vacation is what you take when you can't take what you've been taking any longer. This was exactly the kind of motivation that prompted travel writer Tamar Kevonian to take her first “solo” vacation in Europe.

Bill Clinton lost the majority of these same states in the primary. he won them in the general. It’s nothing to sweat.

in my opinion human father has given birth to his human children without their permission.so human father owes to his children all his resources including time.in my opinion this on demand promissary note of human father to his children holds good till the death of human father.in my opinion not only father but includes grand father, great grand father, great great grand father who ever is alive by same logic. For all crimes of their children all living founding fathers on paternal side have to be charged together with children and punished for children’s crimes. This fear of punishment can make fathers/forefathers to be good mentors/good shepards. Is it not the best law which can be adopted by any country in this world.this one law can perhaps almost eliminate waste of loss of young lives and change the world for better.

And that in itself is brainwashing and always has been…boy did our parents really let this generation of kids down. Sheep trying to raise sheep doesn’t work. Our parents needed to be the good shepherd and lead us.

“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, ...”

God and God alone has the answers, not Satan’s Window—-the tv set.
