      Srebrenica genocide (7/11 1995) was systematic slaughter of 8,000 Bosniaks who were under the supposed protection of the United Nations. Srebrenica massacre has been judicially proven and recognized as genocide by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, and subsequently by the International Court of Justice at the Hague. In addition, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, as well as the U.S. Senate Resolution recognize this massacre as genocide.

      Britain's knighthood to the author Salman Rushdie contributes to insulting Islam and may lead to terrorism, a Pakistani minister has said. Such actions are the root cause of terrorism, Religious Affairs Minister Ejaz-ul-Haq told parliament. The minister later said he had not meant to condone or incite terrorism but stress its origins. Pakistan's parliament has condemned the knighthood. Iran says it shows "Islamophobia" among British officials.

      It was my second visit to Jalalabad. But this time the route was different. This route was insecure and, in 1994, when rival jihadi groups were killing each other mercilessly to get power, it was the most dangerous route as there were different rival commanders every one-mile. And they had plenty of check posts where their fighters looted and abused going and coming people.
