      Former Enron chief Jeff Skilling is expected to start his sentence today at the Federal Correctional Institution in Waseca, which lies south of Minneapolis. The prison is a former branch campus of the University of Minnesota that a decade was converted into a low security prison.

      So Richard Causey, Enron's former chief accounting officer, has been sentenced to 5 1/2 years for his role in the scandal, 18 months less than the seven year maximum he agreed to serve when he did the last-minute plea in December to avoid trial. Andy Fastow, who also got a reduced sentenced and lowered the bar for the rest.

      Ken Lay's conviction has been wiped, Andrew Fastow has won a reduced sentence and on Monday, it's Jeff Skilling's turn to face the judge. What happened to Lay and Fastow might actually work against the former Enron CEO and the smart money is betting on him getting a 20 to 30 year sentence, plus financial penalties.
