Strong To The Finish Cuz I Eat My Spinach

      Posted by robynoratocom

I’ve recently embarked on a new naturopath-recommended diet in the hopes of boosting my energy, clearing up my skin and ditching that ugly bloated feeling. I call it the hunter-gatherer diet, because for two and a half long months, I ate nothing but chicken, pork, fish, yams, sweet potatoes, coconut milk, water, rice, fruit and spinach. I kid you not. Here’s how I ended up on the world’s most boring diet.

    • Sen. McCain and sex? It only seemed like a good story

      Posted by srpr from Scholarsandrogues

Perhaps the most disingenuous word a journalist can deploy is "seemed." As a transitive verb, "seem" is used "to suggest uncertainty" — not, as The New York Times failed to do, tie one set of facts to another set of facts and thus conclude with certainty "we gotcha."

      McCain's Ethics

      Posted by robynoratocom

John McCain, like George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Hillary Clinton, and probably the majority of elected officials in Washington, is willing to tell the American people flat-out, demonstrable lies if he thinks it will serve his purposes.

    • Now, Where Did I Put My Passport?

      Posted by robynoratocom

On July 5, a plane full of 50 nude passengers will depart from Erfurt, a town in Southeast Germany, and land on the island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea. The hour long flight will be a day trip and will cost each passenger 499 Euros ($735). A small price to pay, considering that this time when you stand up in the aisle with a big grin on your face and start pulling down your pants, the flight attendant will not kindly ask you to put that “thing” away.

I-35W bridge downed by design flaw; infrastructure issues fade from headlines

Thanks for bringing up this issue—here are some thoughts that are not about “gusset plates”

Extremely low frequency, or ELF, waves can be used for submarine communications and for probing the planet; because of the way they propagate, HAARP can cover “a significant fraction of the Earth.” The waves can be used for “seabed exploration” and even locating mines underwater, not to mention “underground target detection.”

Sorcha Faal reported at the times of the bridge collapse there was a small tremor registered by the Russians the bridge is two or three miles from the center of a HAARP experimental center

Russian Intelligence Analysts are reporting in the Kremlin today that Britain%u2019s Prime Minister, Gordon Brown and numerous leaders of the United Kingdom%u2019s business community were %u2018targeted%u2019 in a failed assassination attempt which instead of downing the aircraft due to take the British Leader on his first state visit to China instead brought down a British Airways 777 upon its landing approach to London%u2019s Heathrow Airport.

According to these reports, Prime Minister Brown%u2019s flight to China was delayed due to British billionaire Sir Richard Branson%u2019s late arrival at Heathrow, as he was one of the many business leaders accompanying Brown to China, and which allowed the British Airways 777 flight from China to land first.

But, upon the British Airway 777%u2019s attempt to land, and as examined by Russian Military Scientists, a %u2018non-nuclear micro-burst%u2019 electromagnetic pulse (EMP) was %u2018fired%u2019 which then caused a catastrophic engine failure due to loss of power causing that flight to plunge to the ground prior to reaching the runway,Reported by Sorcha Faal http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1063.htm

    Electro-Magnetic Spectrum
    By Brent Jessop

In 2003, then Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld signed a document called the Information Operation Roadmap which outlined, among other things, the Pentagon’s desire to dominate the entire electromagnetic spectrum.

If you are unfamiliar with this document, more detail can be found here.

NY Times to stop charging readers for TimesSelect content

I hope this is true -- it would be really nice to have Paul Krugman's columns back on the free internets!
