      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

It'll be an exciting Tuesday evening while we wait for these results. The race tightened towards the end - but Lamont has had every progressive blog and Comedy Central tv show behind him. Let's hope he can make it stick.

Has the De-Liebermanization of the Democratic Party Begun?

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

Look for Ned Lamont, who is running a strong antiwar campaign, to be the new face of the Democrats in 2006 and perhaps beyond. And look for Democratic voters to push harder for even more clarity on where Democrats stand. Lieberman will be gone and Clinton will be distancing herself from her previous stand.

    • Lamont Leads Lieberman 54 - 41

      Posted by Billbar

Momentum for Ned Lamont, the anti-war Connecticut U.S. Senate candidate, increases as he rolls to a 54 - 41 percent lead over incumbent Sen. Joseph Lieberman among likely Democratic primary voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. This compares to a 51 - 47 percent Lamont lead among likely Democratic primary voters in a July 20 poll by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University. Among Lamont supporters, 65 percent say their vote is mainly against Lieberman.

    • The betrayal of Joe Lieberman

    • Seasonal Memory Lapses

      Posted by Billbar from Courant

Lieberman seeks to identify his opponent [Lamont] as an out-of-touch plutocrat. And somehow we - not just Lieberman - keep a straight face, as if he hadn't just spent 18 years helping Republicans hijack the Constitution and pick on little guy after little guy.

    Lieberman's Lead Growing in Conn.

I just don’t get it – there is still something seriously wrong with the electorate to favor Lieberman given his support of Bush and the Iraq war.

    Lamont Defeats Lieberman in Primary

I doubt Lieberman has the class to get out. But he'll be browbeat out in the next few days, I'm sure.
