People don’t get news from ‘Daily Show’

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

"They're not making jokes about Dan Quayle is dumb or Gerald Ford is clumsy," he said. "They're not making jokes that you could get if you live in the country but don't read the news ... . You can't get the jokes if you're not watching the news. The jokes are designed to make you think more about the news." While Stewart aims most of his firepower at Republicans, the show is actually pretty balanced in its bookings, the study noted. Of the clearly partisan, 15 guests were conservative and 18 were liberal.

    • The ABC Debate and the Danger to Democracy

      Posted by jcstearns from Stopbigmedia

Despairing, disgusting and disheartening - those words are flying around today to describe ABC's irresponsible Democratic presidential debate Wednesday night.

      Here's another one - dangerous.

ABC's failure to ask tough questions, act as a watchdog and hold our leaders accountable is not an anomaly. It is a testament to our broken media system.

Srebrenica Genocide Blog: From Principle to Hypocrisy

Nikola Rajkovic is the founder of “The Centre for Peace in the Balkans”- a Serbian propaganda media outlet based in Toronto (Canada) on record for Srebrenica genocide denial. Recently, he created “Beware of Srebrenica Genocide Blog”, but what should one really beware of is Nikola Rajkovic’s pro-Serb nationalist background and Srebrenica Genocide denial that he has been promoting on his web site (BalkanPeace.org) for years! More about Nikola Rajkovic here: http://centre-for-peace-in-the-balkans.blogspot.com/

Black Oil Spill in Kerch Strait

I think this spill should have received far more attention here in the US than it did. What happened in San Francisco around the same time pales in comparison to this mess.

    FEMA workers masquerade as reporters

This is completely pathetic. And of course exactly what one expects from leaders who hate government.
