You, Too, Could Be Batman In 10 To 12 Years

      Posted by Jeff from Slashdot

"You could train somebody to be a tremendous athlete and to have a significant martial arts background, and also to use some of the gear that he has, which requires a lot of physical prowess... In terms of the physical skills to be able to defend himself against all these opponents all the time, I would benchmark that at 10 to 12 years." The problem is, even after that amount of training, no one could remain on top of their game for more than a few years. And "Batman can't really afford to lose. Losing means death - or at least not being able to be Batman anymore."

‘Indiana Jones’ debut survives Cannes critics

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

Maybe not awful as Slashdot worried: The film received none of the derisive laughter or catcalls that mounted near the end of the first press screening for "Da Vinci Code." There were a few titters from the "Crystal Skull" crowd early on over co-star Cate Blanchett's thick, Boris-and-Natasha accent as a Soviet operative racing against Indy to find an artifact of immeasurable power.

Michael Moore: Next movie on American Empire

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

"It would be easier and safer to make a sequel, if that's all it was, but this isn't about Bush. We all know this. Regardless of who the president is come November, we have a big mess, a big, big mess to be cleaned up, and I don't know whether it can be cleaned up," Moore said. "The toxicity of the spill may be so great that there's nothing we can do about it. If that's the case, where are we now as America and as Americans?"

    • My Top 5 Funny Films of All-time

      Posted by cloudystef

So I'm trying to gravitate towards the lighter side of things. Work is producing more and more backlogs, thanks to the concept of fate and a little of procrastination.

I need a good, hearty laugh. Nothing seems to be funny as of late and I don't know about you, but I liked Will Ferrell's stuff so much more in the past. I guess I'm not a fan of his hairy chest as the time that he didn't have to take his shirt of to be exceptionally funny. Much respect to the guy, though. I just needed to remind myself of the films that I thought made me laugh the hardest. Say Molly Shannon and conversation is over.

It's time for Batman to kick Osama's Ass

At least someone on our side is fighting the good fight. The unfortunate part is that this someone is a cartoon character. Although the child in my heart believves Batman is real and will save us. On the other hand, the child in my heart drinks too much.
