      Police say Stephen Kazmierczak, who was identified as the gunman responsible for a suicidal shooting rampage at Northern Illinois University on Thursday, had become "erratic" in the past few weeks after he stopped taking his medication.

      LONDON: Nelson Mandela paid tribute to the anti-apartheid struggle Wednesday as Britain's prime minister pulled a rainbow-striped veil from a statue in the South African's honor and lionized him as one of the best-loved statesmen of all time. Speaking to thousands of supporters as African hymns echoed from the walls of Westminster Abbey, the 89-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner said the statue was a tribute he could only dare to have dreamed of.

      The Denver Post reports that the RTD bus system is proposing to reroute three bus lines which currently go through the Denver Federal Center. These buses will be routed around the Federal Center so that their passengers will not be harassed by Federal marshals and rent-a-cops to cough up an ID card or be arrested.
