    • The Colts Say Manning Just Wants Perfection

Posted by Jeff from New York Times

When the Colts lose — as they have in four consecutive postseasons — the light shines brightest on Manning. His completion percentage and quarterback rating in the postseason (62.1 and 87.6) trail his numbers in the regular season (64.0 and 94.4), but playoff teams often bring the best defenses in the league.

Colts beat Dolphins - Can they make the Super Bowl?

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

I liked a lot of what I saw today: The Colts again slowed their offense down to give their defense time to rest. Manning was fantastic - including a big scary rushing touchdown. Dallas Clark was back and he made a few amazing plays. Harrison was hot as usual. The defense was quicker than in recent weeks but gave up 115 yds rushing to weak Miami.

Hall angry that Owens spit in his face

Posted by Jeff from Seattle Post-Intelligencer

Privileged children: "I lost all respect for the guy," Hall said. "That's the No. 1 thing in the National Football League. You don't spit in another grown man's face. Hopefully, the NFL can see it and go back and watch the film right just before the first punt. On third down, we were kind of walking face to face, walking back to the huddle..

Romo has no one else to blame after ’Boys fall - NFL

They had it won. It was in their hands.

    THAT was an unbelievable ending.

Texans run wild, earn first victory over Colts - NFL

Paul – I’m an idealist, I think the Colts might do it. Unlikely, but this team has talent. Wouldn’t it be a great story if Manning makes it happen on his shoulders? If not the Colts, San Diego looks good though I haven’t seen the Ravens play. One of these three teams.

Paul – anytime you have the defense give up so much yardage and lose 4 out of 6 games, it’s going to create polarization and strife. Plus this has probably been boiling all season – as the early victories were very close. And finally, Manning has the pressure of the media on him to win the “big” games. Other than a couple of bad games they lost, he’s put up super stats…even today. Keep in mind, they’ve lost two games to last minute field goals (today’s).
