Posted by Jeff from Seattle Times

What Does Life Mean To Barack Obama?

      Posted by Damianmann from Blogs.abcnews

At a town hall meeting in Kaukauna, Wisc., Thursday afternoon, amidst questions about health care and the economy, a young man said he had a question for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, and Obama should please be as intellectual or spiritual as you would like. Well this is a lot of pressure, Obama said to laugher. My question is: what does life mean to you? the young man asked. Oh goodness, Obama said, a bit taken aback. What does life mean to me?

For Clinton, Millions in Debt and Few Options

Posted by Jeff from New York Times

I think Clinton's aggresive campaigning the last few months running up more than $20 million in debt was a hugely irresponsible act. If Obama decides to help her fund raise to pay off the debt, that's money that could have been spent in the general election against McCain. As she was running into the red with no realistic chance of earning the nomination, she should have scaled back her efforts.

    • Obama, Clinton and identity politics

      Posted by Sandyenglish

According to the American media, the emergence of African-American man and a woman as leading presidential candidates represents a social advance for masses of people-despite the fact that Obama was carefully groomed by wealthy corporate interests, while Hillary Clinton owes her political prominence to her marriage to the former president.

      Paint Virginia Blue? Obama’s Trying.

      Posted by Jeff from Newsweek

He could've picked Ohio. Or Florida. Or any one of the dozen or so traditional swing states that have decided American presidential elections since the dawn of time (or at least 1992). But for his first official stop on the trail to November, newly minted Democratic nominee Barack Obama visited a place last week that hasn't voted for a dreaded Democrat since the slightly more Southern Lyndon B. Johnson of Texas triumphed there in 1964. The special state? Virginia.

if her decades of failing to secure the Mexico-AZ border are any indication, then she should do a real bang-up job securing the whole country

Obama advisers: Bush era war criminals will walk

I think it’s time to say no to this. If we supported Obama to bring about change, then we have to insist that’s what he delivers

If there ire defined, provable crimes, they should be prosecuted but we don’t need a witch hunt.

Absent Obama is front-and-center in capital - Economy in Turmoil

It was probably a good political move but I think Obama should have been there as president elect.  He will have to make these decisions in 2 months.

Obama's Transparent Presidency: Weekly YouTube Addresses

Obama will cause more of a recession. He wants to implement all kinds of programs. The money has to come from somewhere. We already know he is going to raise taxes on the very companies that provide jobs to the people. In order for those companies to afford the increase, prices will go up. People will buy less. Employees will get laid off. Welfare will be at an all time high. With the US Gov handing out checks, there will be a larger influx of immigrants (legal and illegal) which will put even more strain. McCain would NOT raise those taxes and would create incentives to stimulate job growth which would obviously get the economy going. Can it be explained any more simple?
