Posted by Jeff from Seattle Times

What Does Life Mean To Barack Obama?

      Posted by Damianmann from Blogs.abcnews

At a town hall meeting in Kaukauna, Wisc., Thursday afternoon, amidst questions about health care and the economy, a young man said he had a question for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, and Obama should please be as intellectual or spiritual as you would like. Well this is a lot of pressure, Obama said to laugher. My question is: what does life mean to you? the young man asked. Oh goodness, Obama said, a bit taken aback. What does life mean to me?

For Clinton, Millions in Debt and Few Options

Posted by Jeff from New York Times

I think Clinton's aggresive campaigning the last few months running up more than $20 million in debt was a hugely irresponsible act. If Obama decides to help her fund raise to pay off the debt, that's money that could have been spent in the general election against McCain. As she was running into the red with no realistic chance of earning the nomination, she should have scaled back her efforts.

    • Daily Political Round-up for June 9, 2008

      Posted by DCPSR

The big story of the day [so far] is gas prices averaging $4 a gallon nationwide. A gallon of gasoline was about $1.39 when George W. Bush took office, so Obama and the Democrats should make gas prices an issue in the fall election. The Iranian representative to OPEC sees a barrel of crude oil at $150 by the end of the summer. • Obama, Clinton and identity politics

      Posted by Sandyenglish

According to the American media, the emergence of African-American man and a woman as leading presidential candidates represents a social advance for masses of people-despite the fact that Obama was carefully groomed by wealthy corporate interests, while Hillary Clinton owes her political prominence to her marriage to the former president.

MoveOn to Obama: Keep Your Word, Filibuster Telecom Immunity

Compromise….....There’s a word that has been missing in this administration for 7 years. I don’t believe defending America’s Constitution as soley a liberal issuse, it’s a patriotic duty of EVERY American.

The ONLY way to bring America together is compromise. We’ll see what he does once he’s in. but, I don’t think liberals can expect him to maintain a soley liberal/progressive  stance on EVERY issue.

Barack, with your movement of change; I was hoping you were legitimate.. A politician that would put America first and foremost, not party or individual goals above what is right and just. Go ahead, cave in, join the crowd of cowards like Peosie (sp) ,Ried & Stoyer, forsake the trust of millions of your loyal followers. But remember this, by placing your personal goals above America’s, you will be risking snacthing defeat from the jaws of victory; like so many Democrats before you.

Yeah, well, I for one and firmly okay with a center-left president and a progressive Congress brought in with his/her coattails ;)
