  Twenty-one former generals and high ranking national security officials have called on United States President George W. Bush to reverse course and embrace a new area of negotiation with Iran, Iraq, and North Korea. In a letter released Thursday, the group told reporters Bush's 'hard line' policies have undermined national security and made America less safe.

- More Than 100 Women Intrested In The Military, preyed upon sexually by their recruiters

  Women were raped on recruiting office couches, assaulted in government cars and groped en route to entrance exams. A six-month Associated Press investigation found that more than 80 military recruiters were disciplined last year for sexual misconduct with potential enlistees. The cases occurred across all branches of the military and in all regions of the country.

  Michelle O'Donnell of Turner spotted the animal near her yard about a week before it was killed. She called it a "hybrid mutant of something.'' "It was evil, evil looking. And it had a horrible stench I will never forget,'' she told the Sun Journal of Lewiston. "We locked eyes for a few seconds and then it took off. I've lived in Maine my whole life and I've never seen anything like it.'' For the past 15 years, residents across Androscoggin County have reported seeing and hearing a mysterious animal with chilling monstrous cries and eyes that glow in the night. The animal has been blamed for attacking and killing a Doberman pinscher and a Rottweiler the past couple of years.

- Violent hate crimes against Hispanics, regardless of their immigration status

  The debate over immigration has been fuel for hate crimes against American Hispanics. Regardless of their citizenship, some Americans have been beaten, burned and even sodomized. Those that take a stand against immigrants will find themselves in the presence of hate and ignorance. Two things that have always caused large amounts of death and destruction. These people want to blame their problems on Mexicans- not unlike how the Germans blamed their problems on Jews. We saw where that led. Are we doomed to repeat history?
