    • T-Shirt Inscription Keeps Iraqi Man From Boarding Flight

      Posted by Billbar

An Iraqi architect says he was not allowed to board a Jet Blue flight at JFK because of the Arabic inscription on his t-shirt. Raed Jarrar was wearing a T-shirt that read We Will Not Be Silent in Arabic and English, when he was approached by security officers. The officers said the Arabic script was upsetting other passengers, and told Jarrar to either turn the shirt inside out or wear something else. Jarrar protested but finally wore a T-shirt provided by a Jet Blue employee.

key Democrat seeks to deny aid to the children, women and homeless of Lebanon after the war

      Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from UrukNet

top ranking Democrat on the U.S. House of Representatives’ International Relations Committee said over the weekend that he would work to deny the $230 million in aid for Lebanon that has been proposed. However, there appears no opposition to the $9 billion loan program to Israel, which began in 2003 and was set to expire in 2008. Will Lebanon, with its democratically elected government, find the financial means needed to rebuild and cleanup the WMDs and illegal weapons deposited by the U.S./Israeli coalition?

Iraq vs. World War 2, Iraq wins. Another miserable milestone for Bush's war

Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from The Independent

In a bit of historical irony, the U.S. involvement in World War 2 was a total of 1,244 days on the eastern front. This resulted in Nazi Germany surrendering to Russia, Britain and the U.S. Fast forward to Iraq, August 2006, the U. S. involvement, illegal this time, has passed the 1,267 day mark. Resistance in Iraq is stronger then ever, the U.S. economy is destined for collapse from the over extension of debt, and as America burns, Bush, like Hitler stays the course. Maybe he will kill hiself too?

      Chavez of Arabia

Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from Al Jazeera

Chavez is once again on the diplomatic offensive. During his recent trip to Beijing, Chavez blasted Israel for the current war in Lebanon – which he referred to as a campaign of ‘genocide’. By distancing himself from Israel – a country with whom Venezuela has long held good relations – Chavez is cementing his country’s ties to Iran and endearing himself to the Arab world ahead of his upcoming trip to the region

Really? Wow, that’s amazing! If the twin was actually living inside of him, did he have any kind of consciousness? Intriguing.
