    • Congress Opens Self To Law Suit Over Oil Prices | I'm A Pundit Too

      Posted by theauthor from Thenewpundit

Let me start out by saying that this isn't going to go over very well at all, but that never stopped me before. I have decided that it is indeed time to sue the US Congress over the high price of energy, and the bill they tried to pass earlier this year has opened them up to the suit. Now, it seems that if anyone were to be able to sue the government, it would be the oil companies who are being restricted. However, I discovered something recently. I discovered that I am the one paying 50 bucks a week to fill up my 4 cylinder Saturn. I also got an interesting email from Florida Power and Light.

      Thomas Friedman: 9/11 and 4/11

Posted by Jeff from New York Times

What doesn't the Bush crowd get? It's this: We don't have a "gasoline price problem." We have an addiction problem. We are addicted to dirty fossil fuels, and this addiction is driving a whole set of toxic trends that are harming our nation and world in many different ways. It is intensifying global warming, creating runaway global demand for oil and gas, weakening our currency by shifting huge amounts of dollars abroad to pay for oil imports, widening "energy poverty" across Africa, destroying plants and animals at record rates and fostering ever-stronger petro-dictatorships in Iran, Russia and Venezuela.

    • New Hampshire To Accept Free Oil From Chavez

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

Two years ago, New Hampshire refused to accept heating oil from Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the pro-Castro U.S. critic who once called President Bush "the devil." But with fuel prices rising, well, free oil is free oil. With the state's blessing, New Hampshire residents will be receiving some of the fuel this winter.

Boil Them In Big Oil? Let’s Start With You! : Conservative Politics Today

The old saying is still true. "Figures don’t lie, but liars can figure."  Move to hydrocarbon free energy ? Great idea !  Build "green" homes ? Another great idea. Build a religion around blaming human activity for global warming ? Not so good.  The man behind the curtain will always be exposed.
