    • New Hampshire To Accept Free Oil From Chavez

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

Two years ago, New Hampshire refused to accept heating oil from Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the pro-Castro U.S. critic who once called President Bush "the devil." • 'Phenomenal' oil and gas rights sale sets stage for exploration push in B.C.

Posted by Jeff from Globe and Mail

British Columbia has raked in a record-breaking $610-million in an oil and gas rights sale, the latest in a series of windfalls driven by a rush of natural gas producers looking to lock up land in the northeastern part of the province. The tally from the one-day sale smashes the old record of $441-million set in May, and puts B.C.'s total land sale proceeds so far this year at $1.58-billion. That surpasses last year's record mark of $1.04-billion, and ranks as among the biggest to date in Canada.

Cost of oil, gas is totally bogus for surfers

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

"We all think about oil in our cars, but very few of us really consider the fact that every little piece of manmade equipment around you is oil-based, and surfing's no different," said Mauro, who's seen the price of some surfboards double to $750 or higher. "The price of a surfboard, it used to be something where it was pretty digestible. Now, it's like, whoa, OK, I've got to put some serious thought into this."

    • Oil Block Induced Profit Inflation – Crumbling Economy

      Posted by rpairan

Immediately nationalize all the oil companies whose corporate offices reside within the borders of the United States. Seize all assets belonging to the oil companies and their associated oil block (OPEC, oil speculators, and oil companies) thieves' intent upon exacting a short term extraction of available income from every sector of our dying economy.
